About Buddy - 8 Week Old Dachshund X Staffy (Trial)
Buddy is such a happy, playful boy. he is a typical puppy, he has loads of energy, loves to play with soft toys and absolutely loves people and other dogs. He loves cuddles and his food 101. He is a very sweet little boy. He also loves scratches behind his ears.
Buddy is 3/4 Dachshund and 1/4 Staffy. He would be best suited to homes with older children or couples and someone home more often then not. He needs someone with time to dedicate to training.
Being a Dachshund mix he has a longer back. Which means they can be more prone to injury. This is why we recommend homes with older children. Dogs with longer backs can get easily hurt if dropped, or when jumping of couches or beds, or even going up and down stairs. So modifying homes is very important if you wish to adopt a Dachshund mix. They require pet ramps to get up and down safely of furniture to help minimise these risks.
Buddy is being fostered with a family that has other dogs, so he is very well socialised but will need to keep the learning going to build confidence. Buddy will benefit from attending a puppy preschool to help further his education.
He will melt a lot of hearts, and choosing 1 family to adopt him will be very hard. So please be patient while we look through the applications as this may take some time.
For more information on Buddy please contact his foster carer on their email nsharkey73@hotmaiI.com. He is in foster care in Kurri Kurri, NSW.
Buddy's adoption fee is $800. As he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast, Sydney and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when he is approximately 5/6 months old. Please NO out of area applications.

Buddy has siblings that are also available for adoption.

PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
