About Chloe
Chloe – Available for Adoption!
Sex: Female (speyed)
Breed: Bengal
Colour/Pattern: Brown Rosetted
DOB: 25/08/2016
Location: Toowoomba
I'm Chloe, a magnificent Bengal and soon to be the star personality in your home! I came into care when my previous owner needed to relocate to a place where kitties weren't allowed. It was a bittersweet goodbye and an unavoidable situation, but they made sure I was safe with SCA Qld. I was placed with a fosterer who understands my specific needs as a Bengal, and now I'm on the hunt for my new home!
"She’s an absolute smoocher, even makes biscuits on the hard floor" - my foster carer. Yup, I'm a fan of attention and affection from the people who win my trust. It will take time and patience from you, but once we've built that rapport, you'll be my friend for a lifetime!
I'm a bit of a chatterbox, as I love to talk and interact with you! I have a pretty impressive range of tones and sounds to convey what I'm trying to tell you. 😘 I like to sleep at the end of the bed at night, to chase any nightmares away. I'm a tidy kitty with my litterbox and love my dinner too.
I have been the centre of attention in my previous home, being the only kitty there for my entire life. Since being with my fosterer, I have had gradually had brief introductions with other cats. It's a work in progress as this is a big change for me! At this stage, we're not certain if I am best suited to being the only kitty at home, or if time, patience, and positive introductions will help me settle into a multi-cat household.
📢 You must know that I am a high-energy kitty who needs lots of opportunities to stay mentally stimulated and physically active! As a Bengal, I am incredibly fast, very attuned with my feline senses, and have a high prey drive.
So, what will I need?
✅ Territory (AKA, your house)
✅ Outlets for energy (physical and mental)
✅ Companionship
👉 We Bengals are an athletic, agile and graceful breed with a tendency to be highly active, mischievous and full of energy. We are confident, very talkative, friendly, and known for being always alert. We like to be up high, surveying our kingdom and jumping from ledge to ledge (so a tall cat tree is a must!). Access to a cat enclosure will help keep us engaged and experience the "outside" while being safely contained inside and protecting the wildlife too.
👉 Our high level of intelligence means we require lots of mental stimulation. We thrive on games and puzzles - and boredom is often the cause of the notorious Bengal mischief! We will need to keep our buzzing minds busy with a whole lot of interactive toys. This helps keep us engaged and satisfied! We're a clever breed with a keen motivation for food, so we're typically quite easy to train. Many Bengal owners even train us to walk on a leash and harness.
👉 We are often fond of playing in water. Many Bengals are known for jumping into the bathtub or forcing their way into the shower to enjoy a splash with their hooman. Be mindful if you have an aquarium or koi pond at home, as many of us love a sneaky splash-filled fish hunt!
Are you my second chance? I can't wait to become a part of your family! Fill out an application now.
Many biscuits,
Chloe x
Medical notes
Medical Notes:
I tested negative for FIV/FeLV and have been an inside only kitty since. I should be kept inside or in an enclosure to keep me (and the wildlife!) safe and healthy.
