Lolly - 2 Year Old Maltese X (Trial 26/6/23)

Meet Lolly a very special little Maltese x. Lolly is about 2-3 years old and weighs about 3.5 kgs.

Lolly is looking for a very special home because she has a condition called “Cerebellar Hypoplasia”. It is a neurological condition in which the cerebellum, part of brain that coordinates movement is smaller than usual or not completely developed. She fails to move normally, especially when it comes to maintaining normal balance, posture and coordination.
She is not in pain and can live a long happy life. There is no cure for this condition. Her condition has been diagnosed as moderate to severe by a veterinarian.

Lolly will need a home with no stairs or steps and a relatively flat backyard so she can move about independently, with no larger dogs or little children.

Lolly was rescued from a hoarders house with 6 other little ones. They were all in terrible condition.

When Lolly first came to me she was very timid. It only took her about 24 hours before she was up and about and bossing all my other little ones around. She is such a little sweetheart who just loves cuddles and snuggling up to you. It’s best to try and not treat her like she has a disability and let her live her best life. She follows me around everywhere with her little legs flying around everywhere which is relative to her condition.

Lolly’s appetite is very good, she sleeps beautifully in my room in her little bed.
Lolly will make someone a delightful little companion who will pay you back in spades with so much love and affection to give.

Lilly’s condition doesn’t stop her from doing things like running on the beach or a walk in the park.

Please be mindful if applying for this little gem that I understandably am going to be very particular who I choose for her furever home.

Lolly is in foster care in the Newcastle, NSW area. They are NOT currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $700.00 and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.

This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
