Hi, I’m Dottie.
Hi there, Dottie here. I'm somewhat shy when I first meet new people, so when you bring me home I'll need to be started in a quite room and allowed time to settle before allowing me to explore the rest of the house. When I'm stressed I tend to become quite vocal. Once I'm settled, scratch posts/cat trees, hides (like cardboard boxes and cat igloos) will all provide me ample safe spaces, both high and low, all around the house. Yay! I do enjoy gentle chin strokes and will no doubt bunt your hand for more when you stop. My ideal adopter will be patient and understanding and recognize that I'll be timid going into a new environment and may take a little while to settle in before I show my true self! Older kiddies (rather that little ones) in the home is preferrable as they're more likely to understand basic cat body language and know when to give me space.
