Hi, my name is Detroit!
I am a happy and lovable boy and I show lots of love by cuddling up to my foster parents, I also love going for rides in the car.
I am toilet trained and will sit at the door to let you know I need to go outside. Chasing the ball and my toys and my Foster Mum (FM) chasing me is the best. I do get very excited sometimes and jump up, but I am learning down.
My FM says I am a very smart boy, I have learnt to sit and wait for my meals, I am doing really well at learning to stay until I’m called. We have started learning to wait at the gate when it’s opened, but sometimes I get excited and forget, but I will get there.
I love playing but I am just as happy to be lying near my hoomans. I do get a bit upset when they have to leave me by myself for a little while, so I have my toys, puzzles, snuffle mat and the TV or music playing to keep me company and not feel alone.
At my house we have two cats (at the moment three as we are cat sitting) and I get along with them really well, I will be curious at first but was introduced slowly and we are the best of friends. I love playing with other dogs, but the really big ones scare me a little as they can be a bit rough.
I think I would be suited to children who are older as I do get a bit excited, plus, they can keep up with my training as well! To keep me nice and safe in your yard I would be best suited to 5-6 foot fencing.
Please consider me as you won’t be disappointed, I have a lot of love to give and will make your life so much fuller.
