Salvo is a big softy, and wants nothing more than to nap with you on the couch all 38kg of him.

A sociable dog who loves people and enjoys a walk down the high street, where he gets many head scratches.

This snooze King does well on his own as he is house trained and will just nap when left alone but needs exercise twice a day to keep him stimulated. Salvo would prefer to be your only furry friend as he can be unsure of cats, other dogs and doesn’t like to share cuddles. He needs a backyard to stretch his legs out and lay in the sun.

As a protective breed, he wants to take charge on walks and needs an owner wiling to continue leash training to help give him confidence to meet new dogs, as he can be reactive. Salvo the cheeky boy also loves food! His food, your food, and the food on the counter.

When excited he is a bit bouncy so a home with older children would be better suited but is good with kids and loves to play. He responds well to sit and stay commands but not so well with “get off the couch” but we are working on it.

Salvo just wants all the love from his new owner, he’s a lovely natured dog who will win you over with his big brown eyes.
