About Maci
Gentle family companion
Maci is an awesome family companion. She is wonderful with children and oblivious to the screaming and shrill shrieks of her foster children (2,6). She loves cuddles, isn't jumpy and doesn't chew toys kids leave around. She likes to be where the people are, but doesn't need to be with them - she's happy to be on her bed, or on the couch if allowed.
Maci is a terrier cross, so is a small dog. She's a smart girl and has quickly re-learnt her toilet training in her foster home. She doesn't know basic training (sit etc), but has good recall, is eager to please and is food motivated, so training her should be easy. She is also great travelling in the car.
Maci does have an instinct to chase. She currently lives with cats, but they're not dog savvy, so when they ran, she'd chase. She is showing less interest in them once they stopped running at the sight of her, and has been fine with other cats, so she'll need the right introductions. She is good on the lead, but don't expect to walk fast, as she likes to sniff a lot!
Overall, Maci is a gentle young girl who is content to chill most of the day -preferably inside and is the perfect size for small kids.
