Milly

Meet Milly! Milly is a gorgeous German Shepherd Mix who is very active, playful and energetic. Milly knows sit, stay, roll over and likes to play fetch. She loves having lots of space to run around and requires a secure yard where she can burn off plenty of energy. Since she has spent all her life as a mainly indoor dog with access outside, Milly is used to spending lots of time indoors with her humans and definitely is not cut out to be an outdoor-only dog. In fact, she is so used to being with someone all the time that she would benefit from her adopters being around full-time while her new owners work to build her tolerance to being by herself. Due to her size, she would be better suited to older children who are dog-savvy and confident with large-breed dogs, young children may find her too boisterous. Milly may enjoy the company of another canine companion, however they would need to be equally as active, and robust and tolerant of Milly's high energy play-style. Milly is not suitable with living with livestock or small animals- she loves to chase them. Her new owners will need to be experienced with similar breeds and committed to ongoing training. She has lots of potential and is gentle and sweet-natured despite being stressed in the shelter.
