About Riley
Meet Fred! He is a very young and tiny (not for long) Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix. Fred is incredibly food driven and is willing to leap head first into any new trick (if food is on offer of course!). He is friendly, wiggly and very active and excitable. Fred is more reserved than his siblings and he takes more time to investigate, but he is a quick learner. Due to Fred's boisterousness and rough style of play, he is not suitable for young children, but may be okay with older children who are dog-savvy and comfortable with medium breed dogs. Fred is yet to learn not to jump up, how to walk on lead and is not yet toilet trained, so his adopters will need to teach him the basics and enrol him into puppy school. Continued socialisation with other dogs and new people, and slowly opening up his world is very important! An active home is best for Fred since he is so energetic, and his adopters will need to be able to look after him full time for the first couple of months due to his age. Fred may be able to go home with another canine companion, however they will have to be very robust, equally active and playful and able to be introduced slowly and gradually in the home.
If Fred sounds like the perfect pup for you and you're ready to train an active pup willing to learn, please enquire at RSPCA Peninsula or call on 5978 9001!
