About 8213 - Spike
🦝🌿 MEET SPIKE 🌿🦝
Have you ever wanted your very own house raccoon? 👀
Nature
Spike has an undoubtedly sharp name, but don't let it fool you! This soft-bellied boy and his kind nature will win your heart over quickly. Spike will need patience and gentleness as he adjusts to his new home (treats wouldn't hurt either).
Once his confidence blossoms, his Foster Mum guarantees that you will be rewarded, and utterly delighted, by this chatty, smoochy guy!
He delights in window watching, hammock stress-testing, and carrying only the softest of blankets around in his mouth. With his big heart and the undeniable physical demeanour of a raccoon, could yours be the fur-ever home Spike has dreamed of?
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
With slow introductions, Spike can get along with most any calm kitty and has a soft spot for the girls!
In his last foster home, Spike lived amicably with a large, calm dog. He would prefer to continue without any canine friends unless they are incredibly gentle and sweet!
This big boy isn’t a fan of the noisy little humans either, so he would be best suited to older children or a mature home who could calmly give him lots of love!
Likes / Dislikes
✅️ Good ol' fashioned windows
✅️ Soft toys to pillage
✅️ Hammocks
✅️ Blankets with an exquisite mouthfeel
✅️ Food and treats 🦝
❌️ Bells/bell toys
❌️ Collars
❌️ Small children
❌️ Loud environments and people
After coming into care with his collar trapped under his front leg, Spike was left with a deep wound, resulting in surgery and rehab. Subsequently, he has developed a fear of wearing collars and the sound of bells.
My PURR-fect home would be a calm and quiet home where I can relax and take my time to get to know you. Feline friends would also be amazing, but not essential so long as you have lots of love to give instead! I've endured much stress and trauma in my life and I'm ready for love, true peace and safety.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.
