About Brucey
AVAILABLE THIS WEEKEND
Get ready for some serious gorgeousness 😍
Introducing 4 month old kittens Marigold and Brucey (available to adopt separately or together).
Marigold is a simply stunning torti lady with a soft and gentle face that looks like she's smiling at you
Brucey is a floofer of the highest order, an extremely handsome long haired fellow who is looking like he will be a BIG boy.
These two are from a large family of 8 kittens (sadly 2 of their siblings didn't make it).
Their mum had sadly had many litters before this one but thankfully she's now desexed and living happily back in her previous home.
Marigold has a lovely purr. She's inquisitive and intrigued by new things. She loves to play with any toys she can get her paws on.
Marigold is a little timid and startles easily, but she quickly recovers and will come to examine whatever it was that scared her.
She's good with other cats and can live with cat-friendly dogs.
Marigold has had exposure to a toddler but she's probably best suited to slightly older kids who can take their time with her at first.
She's a very petite girl, small for her age though stocky.
A very pretty girl with a great personality too, she's a real catch.
Brucey has been the biggest in the litter by a long way, right from day one.
A natural leaber, this spunky guy is an explorer who also loves to play. He's got a great purr and he generally is quite comfortable getting cuddles and snuggles from anyone
Brucey is also startled by new and unexpected sounds, but takes very little time to recover.
He's good with cats and dogs and is also friendly with a toddler so may suit younger children.
His new family will ideally get used to grooming him from early on, so that his luxurious coat can be kept in great condition.
It's hard to capture his good looks in pictures so why not come and meet him?
Marigold and Brucey are undergoing their routine vet work (desexing, microchip and vaccination) this Friday the 9th of June so will be ready for adoption on the weekend.
Please message the page or email avonvalley@safe.org.au if you're keen!
Both these lovely kitties have had ringworm and cat flu - common 'kittenhood illnesses' a bit like kids getting chicken pox.
Ringworm is a fungal condition affecting the skin and hair. They have been treated with anti-fungal medication and their symptoms are resolved. Ringworm doesn't have any long-lasting health affects but in a small number of cases it can recur in the immediate future after treatment ceases.
Cat flu is not actually an influenza, it is caused by several different viruses or bacterial infections.
These kitties have received antibiotic treatment and eye ointment; their respiratory symptoms have cleared up but they do still have mild conjunctivitis - eye drops will be provided to their new families.
In rare cases, kittens who have cat flu can experience other associated illness later in life, most commonly dental disease including stomatitis.
Marigold and Brucey are available at the reduced adoption fee of $100 each, to acknowledge their history of illness.
If they require any further medical care in the short term following adoption, we will be very happy to assist their new families with this.
Whilst medical concerns can be understandably concerning when adopting a new family member, we hope that you can see past this and offer one or both of these gorgeous babies a home 😍
