About Sandy - Located in Doreen
Sandy is a pocket rocket bundle of fun and curiosity - Quick to warm up and easily won over with toys and food. Sandy likes to have ALL the toys at once and enjoys stealing his little buddy, Sye’s, favourite toys just to annoy him. Sandy is hilarious to watch as he throws his toys about and runs laps of the room.
After play time, Sandy happily settles down for cuddles and loves to be picked up and hugged or rocked like a baby, nuzzling into your neck and purring contently. He also loves following his person around and if his person should dare get distracted, he will remind you that he is there and insist you stop what you are doing and give him a cuddle.
Although Sandy is small, he is the more assertive of the duo he has been in foster with and can be a bit bossy, pushing his little mate away and hogging food and toys. He would love to have a confident cat to play with in his new home and could also be good for a more timid cat who needs another more confident cat to support it.
Sandy would fit into any family and would be good with kids of all ages.

Adoption details
Before applying to meet one of our cats, please ensure that
- you have the agreement of all members of the household to adopt a Cat
- you have your landlords permission to keep a pet. More information on what to do is available at https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/housing/renting/applying-for-a-rental-property-or-room/pets-and-renting
- you have all the necessary bits and pieces to welcome your new family member, starting with a cat carrier to bring them home, a litter tray, litter, food and bowls as well as a bed, toys and scratchers
- you are ready to welcome them home NOW. We are unable to hold a cat for you if you are not ready to adopt.
All funds raised at Neko HQ are to benefit Maneki Neko Cat Rescue.
