About Stink Biscuit
Stink Biscuit (no longer stinky and never quite a biscuit) has seen far more pain and hardship than any cat ever should – let alone one as young and sweet as she is.
Stinky was brought to our hospital by two concerned members of public who found her living on a construction site during a period of particularly stormy weather. The poor girl was soaked through, starving, and unfortunately lived up to her affectionately given name by smelling as bad as she looked - she had a nasty rash on her legs from being dirty and wet for so long, a mouth full of rotting teeth, and fur stained so yellow that it could only be made white again by shaving it off. She never let it get her down though, and quickly won us over with her smoochy personality and ridiculous rolling tactics! After over a month of intense care including washing, shaving, and the removal of all of her teeth, our gorgeous girl is now living her best life and looking for the loving home she’s never had but absolutely deserves.
Don’t let the pictures fool you – she can run, jump, and play with the best of them…she just prefers to expose her belly and roll around for neck scratches and head rubs. She’s also a lot younger than she looks, and has all the playful energy of an older kitten.
Stinky is a truly special girl – everyone who meets her falls in love instantly. If you’d like to meet her, please submit an application so we can get in touch to arrange a visit/cuddle session. Prepare to have your heart melted.
Considerations:
* FIV positive – Cats with FIV are more susceptible to illness and infection, but can still live happy healthy lives if kept indoors and given regular vet checks. Two of the biggest concerns with FIV cats are dental disease, and infecting other cats through bites – fortunately, neither of these are a problem for our gummy girl! Her dental disease came early and none of her teeth could be saved, so while she carries FIV the chances of her passing it on are practically non-existent.
* Skin irritation – Stinky has dermatitis around her neck that seems to be responding well to medication and diet adjustment. Our hope is that it can be managed by feeding her a particular kind of food. Luckily, she loves the food! She’ll happily gum her kibbles into submission, then ask for more.
* Indoor only, or supervised while outdoors – Stinky has a pale pink (almost white) nose, and should ideally be kept indoors and out of the sun.
Medical notes
Stink Biscuit has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is up-to-date with her flea and worming. She is FIV positive but extremely unlikely to pass it on to other cats.
