About Bruce
Introducing the excitable Bruce! Bruce is a Jack Russell born 11th November 2022.
Bruce was surrendered to the facility as their existing, elderly dog wasn't a fan of having a young whipper snapper trying to play all the time.
Bruce is a typical JRT puppy, full of beans & ready to explore!
Bruce tested well with other dogs, both male & female. He was very playful & friendly however he could get quite boisterous with them. If you have a playful dog at home (who doesn't mind a pup bouncing all over them) we will need you to bring them to the facility for a meet & greet to ensure they get along before going home.
Given Bruce's breed, he does appear to have a decent amount of prey drive, so we are recommending a home with no pocket pets, however he seemed mostly unfazed by cats. We believe that with a slow & controlled introduction he could live with cats.
Bruce has shown no signs of food aggression towards humans, however he has shown signs of separation anxiety at the facility. On his surrender profile it states he can be left alone without issues, so we feel his anxiety is simply a result of being in the kennel environment.
Bruce is such a loving young man who wants nothing more than a home he can call his own and not have to worry about losing another family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Bruce, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Bruce’s adoption fee is $600, and this includes his desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. Bruce is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Bruce is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
