Melrose

Melrose is a wonderful herding breed pup from working lines that will thrive in a working home. She loves having a job to do and was instinct tested on sheep, where she showed great promise.

As well as being a clever cookie Melrose is friendly, adventurous and playful. She LOVES to play fetch and also likes tug-o-war and wrestling around with her people. Melrose is an active dog and loves to go for walks and do zoomies in her backyard. She isn't particularly food motivated and instead likes training with toys as motivation. Melrose also loves a good cuddle session and will offer you her white paw to let you know it's snuggle time.

Melrose is still only young but has had a great start to her socialisation. She has great manners walking on a leash and is friendly and sociable. Melrose is living in town at the moment, so she has been getting out and about meeting a wide variety of people and other dogs. She plays well with other dogs but isn't reliant on another dog for company, so she would be happy to live as an only dog.

When out and about, Melrose is very visually aware and always watches what is happening around her. She will tend to bark at motorbikes but will happily sleep through any thunderstorms. She will likely try to 'round up' children or other types of pets due to her strong herding instincts, so she would be best suited to a working home or an owner who understands her nature and is experienced in managing a working line dog in a pet home.
