Buddy was a stray found in Cairns and by his gentle nature, he has obviously been well loved and taken care of.
He has a longer, silkier coat than cattle dogs and loves a pat or an ear rub while he looks at you with appreciation.
We are worried however that his eyesight may be deteriorating- while he mostly gets around without any issues, he occasionally seems unsure and took a few days to get used to the small number of stairs in his foster home.
Buddy is an older dog and not as high energy as his foster siblings, but he will happily stand next to them and watch when they are play fighting and make an effort to join in. He loves a walk and walks well on lead.
Although Buddy likes being around other dogs, we think he may also do well as an only dog, as long as he has someone around for company.
Buddy has found his voice and will bark if he is worried. He already has good recall, considering Buddy has only been his name since he was in the pound.
Buddy has good manners and does not jump up, get on furniture or on the bed- these must have been his rules in his last home.
We are hoping that Buddy finds a wonderful home as an older doggo- is very affectionate and we are confident his new family will fall in love with him very quickly!
Buddy is $200 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and given flea, tick and worm preventatives.
