About Sapphire - 8 Week Old Dachshund X Staffy
Emerald (Male), Sapphire (Female), Diamond (Female), Garnet (Female) are such happy, and playful babies. They are typical puppies with loads of energy. These pups are 3/4 Dachshund and 1/4 Staffy.
They would be best suited to homes with older children, or couples and someone home more often then not. Their new family should have time to dedicate to training.
Being a Dachshund mix they have a longer back and can be more prone to injury, so we recommend homes with older children. Dogs with longer backs can get easily hurt if dropped, or when jumping off couches or beds, or going up and down stairs. So modifying homes is very important if you wish to adopt a Dachshund or mix They require pet ramps to get up and down safely of furniture to help minimise these risks.
These babies are being fostered with a family that has children and other dogs, so they are on way to being very well socialised but will need to keep the learning going to build confidence. They will benefit from attending a puppy preschool to help further their education.
The pups are in foster care in Hebden, NSW. Their adoption fee is $800. As they are not yet desexed, they will only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast, Sydney and Port Stephens so they can be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when they are approximately 5/6 months old. Please NO out of area applications.
If you are interested in adopting one of these pups please fill out the adoption application form here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. For more information on please contact their foster carer on their email amanda.rescue1@gmail.com

PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
