About Minnie
Hi my name is Minnie, I’m a 1 year and 2 month old Silky Terrier x
I came into care a few months ago and the rescue had a bit of a shock – I was carrying a few extra heartbeats in my tummy – the rescue has been great and has taken awesome care of me and my babies who are now off on their own adventures and now It’s my turn!
I did have to emergency surgery after having my babies – my foster mum and the vets were blown away with how amazing I was with taking care of them even only a few hours after my surgery – I am all healed and the rescue has made sure I never have to be a mum again.
I am nervous when meeting new people so I do need a few minutes just to settle and get used them but the rescue thinks as time goes by in my forever home that will lessen as I will be confident and settled.
I am looking for a home that is quiet and calm but still has a few people in the home to hang out and spend time with.
While I would like someone home to hang out with, I am happy if you’re gone for 4 hours a day - I don't need to live in your pocket but I do like company, I do require
Once I am comfortable with you I would love to be able to give you cuddles – happy on the bed or on the couch together I love to roll over and demand a belly rub.
Now that my parent responsibilities have been sorted by the rescue I am with a few other small breeds who I very much enjoying having a play with. Love to do zoomies in the backyard or over the couch if I forget my manners.
I would love a home with another small breed who is happy to play and then chillax.
I am not tested on cats
I am child friendly and love to spoon with them at night time in their bed.
I have also discovered a love of toys - omg so much fun - we can do online Kmart shopping together if you want.
I came into care not used to walking on a lead but my foster mum has been working with that – still a work in progress as I get more confident with the outside world.
I am toilet trained
I am happy to have access to inside and outside during the day (I like to sleep inside on my dog bed where I’m happy or in the office on my other dog bed while my foster works.
Minnie does have a coat that requires regular grooming so please make sure that you do remember that it’s a life time of grooming.

Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email.
