About Barney
The beautiful Beagle cross Harrier Barney is now seeking his forever home. Barney is currently around 10 months old.
Barney has come from a loving home with a Jack Russell mate and a couple of cats. He has settled exceptionally well into his foster home and being just a pup likes nothing more than to play with his doggie mates and then hang with his people.
Barney will have a solid sleep all through the night with not a peep from him until early morning.
Barney will benefit from lead training, so a strong hand to start off with will help make him the best dog and family member he can be.
Barney is dog and kid friendly, with not a mean bone in his body. He absolutely loves running around with his foster siblings and playing tug with his toys.
ADOPTION CRITERIA
A home with a medium to large backyard with grass, shelter, and secure fencing.
A home with or without children, they must be dog savvy children who can handle a bigger dog.
A home with or without another dog. If another dog is in residence already, we seek a dog who is well socialised and tolerant.
A daily walk, especially if he’s an only dog. Please note scent hounds are generally not trustworthy off-lead, they will follow any scent and go deaf to your calls.
A lot of love and dedicate time to training.
Barney should be welcomed as part of the family and not just left on his own in the backyard all the time. He needs to have owners who are home more often than not, or as mentioned above another dog to keep him company.
