Ellen

Meet Ellen! She has a short-haired black tortoiseshell coat that is easy to maintain. Arriving in the shelter was confusing and stressful for Ellen but with time and patience from the staff, she has come out of her shell and shown more of her affectionate side! Ellen has enjoyed pats and chin scratches in the shelter, but she is looking for an experienced cat home who is willing to allow Ellen lots of time to settle in to her new home. Since she finds changes in environment scary, Ellen's new owners may need to go slowly in the beginning, building her courage and showing her the world isn't scary after all! Ellen is still young and will enjoy lots of toys and things to play with to keep her entertained once she is feeling more settled. Ellen is best as an indoor only where she feels safest and secure. Ellen is best suited to a quiet, adult-only home where there are no young children since she finds them scary too (she's a bit of a scaredy cat, but she's coming out of her shell more and more everyday).
