About Mak
Mak is a show stopper both looks and personality wise! Don't let his serious looking face put you off - he is a wonderful dog with an amazing training foundation that will make him the perfect addition to his new home.
Mak adores all the attention that he gets from people and is very affectionate. He loves every person that he meets and is keen to make everyone his new bestie. If you are looking for a best friend to join you at the local café, then he will happily oblige. Mak enjoys playing with his toys and spending time in the sun. Mak is definitely an outdoorsy type of dog who enjoys exploring and going out for his walks both in the burbs and in the bush.
This beautiful pup has a curious nature and when given the right guidance by a confident handler he can take things in her stride. He is not fazed by common passing things like bikes or skateboards but sometimes there will be a loud noise or new thing that startles him or makes him unsure. Mak is able to make a fast recovery in these situations when her owner remains calm and gives her clear guidance.
Mak is currently in foster care with three medium to large breed dogs. He is very friendly with dogs and loves to play. He sometimes gets a bit over excited in play with some dogs, and his new owners will need to ensure they intervene when necessary to ensure he knows what’s appropriate play as he grows up into an adult dog. He will be suited to a home where there is controlled socialisation with other dogs which means playdates with friends and family dogs rather than dog park environments. Mak is a relatively active pup who will suit an active family who enjoy the outdoors. He will need a good daily walk and some play time in order to keep him physically and mentally satisfied but this should be coupled with some chill out time as well.
Mak has done really well with his training while in foster care. He understands the basics and walks well on the lead. Mak will thrive in an environment where his owners are able to give him clear boundaries and structure. He is still a young pup who will benefit from further training and socialisation. At home, he is toilet trained, crate trained and knows “bed” so that he can chill calmly with her humans in the house. He is still learning his independence and until he gets there he should be crated when no one is home as he can become destructive if left to his own devices. He is perfectly content to be crated while you’re out. Due to this we will be looking for a home where someone is home more often than not or someone who wants an office buddy - at least until he’s settled in and can be trusted to be left home alone with freedoms. Mak travels well in the car which makes it easy to take him along on all the fun adventures.
We are looking for a dog experienced home where Mak will be a part of the family but still treated like a dog rather than a baby. He will be fine as an only dog or with other dogs, but any resident dog should be well trained and confident to ensure Mak continues to gain his confidence. Mak should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. He has been great with the kids he has met so will be fine to live with older children (teenage and above). Mak is an outstanding little pup and will absolutely blossom in the right home.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
