About Luna
Luna loves life! She’s a young girl with a happy, loving nature 💜 She’s medium sized and is said to be a Pocket Bully x Bull Arab. Who knows❣️ What we do know is she has a wonderful temperament; pretty face and a striking coloured coat!
She was surrendered into foster care after she was seriously attacked by an older dog she was living with when she was a pup. Luna made a full recovery and despite her rough start, she absolutely adores meeting other dogs on her walks and having new experiences! Her favourite activity is going for walks. She loves exploring the neighbourhood; saying hi to other dogs; adventuring along the creek side and bush trails. She’s even learning to swim! She loves splashing around in the water; and will make you laugh with her clumsy aquatic antics 😊
Luna walks wonderfully on a lead (using a “K9 Bridle”). She travels quite well in the car, but can be excited if she knows she’s going somewhere fun! She has apparently lived with a cat, but she does get quite lively when she sees one. She may be best in a home without cats, or at least allow a slow introduction. Luna can be energetic, and as she’s quite a solid girl, she’s best suited with children over 12.
Whilst she is a playful young girl, Luna is also super chilled. When she is not out adventuring, she loves to hang out inside with access to the yard. She’s not destructive, and can be left alone with no issues. With a daily walk (twice if she’s lucky), she’s a very calm, lovely girl! She’d be happy as an only dog, but will also thrive in the company of another chilled dog (male).
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
