Hi! I'm Judge and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.

You are unable to meet Judge until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Judge in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate who is gentle would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• Due to coming to the shelter as a stray my history with children is unknown. I do seem to be a very excitable boy and I may accidentally knock small children over
• I like both friendly male and female dogs that are gentle
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys especially squeaky balls and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• Regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• No young children as when I'm excited I can get bouncy and strong, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• I am a clever and active doggo - I would be great for dog training, trick training, agility etc.
• A submissive dog is the best housemate for me. But, I LOVE LOVE LOVE people, so I'm just as happy being an only dog getting all of your love and attention for myself
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be when I'm older.
• SOCIALISATION is important for me as it appears I've led a very sheltered life and can be a bit nervous/shy in new situations. Since being at the shelter I'm becoming much braver though. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being bouncy and excitable.
• Cats or small animals as I may find them fun to chase

My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• I have had some basic obedience training and know how to sit
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• I walk well on lead for a young doggo but having daily walks should help me improve my lead skills
• Exuberant & full of beans
• I love toys especially my ball, playing fetch and tug rope

Where I need to improve / Training required
• Unsure in new situations - more socialising is needed
• I love my food & toys so using them as a positive reward should make my training easier.
• I need further training on my recall as I can ignore you if you're trying to call me back to you
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
• I may show signs of anxiety when I'm left alone in the backyard. Leaving me some enrichment toys/treats may help this.
• I appear to be quiet vocal at times when left alone - a family who has a lot of time for me, allow me indoors and leave me with lots of mental enrichment when home alone is recommended
• As I have not been allowed inside before I am not housetrained yet
• I am social with other friendly dogs however I will react if they are too full on or reactive to me, further socialisation is recommended
• I do walk quite well on the lead once settled, however I can pull if something interests me so walking in a harness is recommended
