At just 18 kilos and 10 months this gorgeous medium size boy will not grow to a large size as he is more Kelpie height and has the stunning Shepherd features that just melt your heart
Leroy is a charming 10-month-old German Shepherd x Kelpie mix with a soft and gentle nature. This curious and exploratory pup is well-behaved around other animals and loves to play with other dogs . Leroy has been dreaming with his foster family, consisting of a female dog, two children, and two adults. He has beautiful house manners and even gets along politely with their cat.

FAVORITE THINGS
Leroy is a playful and affectionate pup who treats all members of his foster family equally. He brings joy and warmth to those around him. In the backyard, Leeroy enjoys a variety of playful activities such as playing with toys, engaging in tug of war, searching for treats, and cuddling with the children. He has a great relationship with his foster sister and can play with her all day.
INTERACTION WITH HUMANS
When alone, Leroy does bark a little in protest , expressing his desire for company. However, he is generally well-behaved and can entertain himself. He truly thrives on human companionship, displaying excellent manners, eating well, and showing beautiful affection for his humans. Leroy's friendliness extends to kids and visitors, making him an amazing companion for families.
OBEDIENCE/TRAINING
In terms of obedience, Leroy is a well-mannered boy with a submissive and eager-to-please nature. He jumps a little with excitement for his leash to be placed on, behaves as you’d expect a 10-month-old on walks, wants to smell everything, and takes the world in. He may not have had many opportunities for walks in the past so continued lead training is required. In the yard, he is calm, often sleeping or following his humans around for pats.
ANIMAL SOCIAL SKILLS
Leroy's sociable nature shines through when it comes to playtime. He can play all day if another dog is up for it. He plays well with his foster sister and takes breaks in the sun when needed.
He is a little intimidated by the cat so cats in his new home will be perfectly fine as he has been tested by the cat in his foster home so well versed in cats lol

SLEEPING and FOOD
When it's time to rest, Leroy sleeps outside and may bark a little when alone.when you put him to bed but does settle quickly he settles down once the sun goes down and sleeps through the night. He does prefer the light on and will wait quietly for breakfast. Leroy's diet consists of two meals a day, consisting of dry food and Prime 100. He responds positively to jerky-style dog treats during training.
CAR
Traveling in the car is no issue for Leroy. While he may initially need some assistance getting in, he settles quickly and behaves exceptionally well. His recent vet visit was a dream, as his behavior was deemed excellent by the staff.
EXERCISE
Enrichment is an important aspect of Leroy's life. He loves spending time with people and thrives when given attention. Playing with a ball, teddy, or Kongs keeps him entertained, and he responds well to recall and comes when called. Daily walks and training sessions are definitely a must to ensure he develops into the best boy he can be
IDEAL HOME
Leroy's ideal home would be one where he can be surrounded by people he adores. He longs to be the best friend of a loving family who will provide him with recall training, basic commands, and plenty of joy. He would also be suited to a household with a female dog of similar size and with enough space to run and enjoy zoomies, as well as sunbathing opportunities. While he does jump a little to give affectionate kisses, it is recommended that the family continue with structured training.Children who are dog savvy and mature are absolutely perfect and dog savvy cats are fine. Definitely not suited to apartment style living or smaller yards please
