About Shinji
Shinji is the big sister of our rescued litter of 3. She has a sweet personality but is still a little shy - I was consider her an easy project kitten that you'll need to build trust with for a few weeks to see her really come out of her shell. She is very friendly to us at the shelter as we've had her for a couple months, so you can see she can be a very loving and sweet kitten. She loves playing with her two sisters, with a lazer pointer, and scratches on her neck, back, and belly while she is melted into her bed during a nap - she will purr super loud like this.
Overall she is a wonderful kitten deserving of a good home. We love her and it's amazing seeing her personality come out as we build her trust with us.
Adoption details
Begin by reading our adoption FAQs on our website, here:
https://hazelbrookcatshelter.com.au
If you’d like to proceed, fill out an adoption application on our website. Tell us about yourself and the type of cat(s) you are looking for. Feel free to list specific cats that you are interested in, but it is not necessary. Our goal is to be a matchmaker and help you find the right cat for your family and lifestyle.
If we approve your application, will then arrange a video house interview with one of our adoption councillors. This goes for about 15 minutes.
We then arrange a time to meet the cat in person, either at our shelter or their home with their foster carer. Please note we do not move cats from their known environmnent for a meeting.
If all goes well, you can complete the adoption agreement form and pay the adoption fee.
Once the adoption fee has been received, you can take your cat home and begin your 2-week adoption trial.
During this trial, you may return the cat for any reason. Medical expenses will also be covered by our charity. 50% of the adoption fee can be returned if the adoption trial doesn’t work out. It is our requirement that all cats are vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, and flea-and-worm protected prior to this trial, with all their paperwork handed over when collecting your cat.
We provide support as needed around introducing a new cat to your home.
