About Skip
Introducing the super sweet Skip! Skip is a Great Dane x born 3rd October 2022.
Skip was brought in to us as an unmicrochipped stray & unfortunately no one came to reclaim him. While Skip can be a boisterous goofball, he settles & becomes very calm around people with special needs.
Skip tested well with other dogs, both male & female and he is very playful with them. He can be vocal when playing, but he's shown no aggression whatsoever. If you have another dog at home we will need you to bring them to the facility for a meet & greet to ensure they get along before going home.
Skip was quite scared of cats & pocket pets when we did his testing, so we believe he could be suitable to live with smaller animals at home. We would recommend slow & control introductions to ensure a safe & happy relationship between them.
Skip has shown no signs of food aggression towards humans however he does bark in his kennel. As he is a lot more settled when he's in the exercise yards we don't believe this stems from separation anxiety, however he may show signs of anxiety if left alone for long periods of time.
Skip is such a loving young man who wants nothing more than a home he can call his own and not have to worry about losing another family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Skip, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Skip’s adoption fee is $450, and this includes his desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. Skip is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Skip is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
