Meet Max 💙
Max is a resilient young adult dog who has come a long way since his difficult start to life. Surrendered to the local pound at just five weeks old, Max and his sisters fought hard for survival — and came out the other side stronger, braver, and full of love to give. Now, this sweet and determined boy is more than ready to find his forever home.
Max has grown into a playful yet gentle companion who is eager to please and thrives on human connection. He has made wonderful progress with his training, including basic commands and leash manners, and his signature full-body tail wag is guaranteed to make you smile. Friendly, social, and endlessly loving, Max is the kind of dog who quickly becomes everyone’s best friend.
Above all else, Max lives for affection. Cuddles are his absolute favourite thing in the world — whether that’s leaning into you for pats, curling up close, or soaking up every bit of attention he can get. He is always overjoyed to see you when you come home and would much rather be by your side than watching the world go by from a kennel, waiting for someone to stop and give him a pat.
While Max has matured, he still carries some puppy-like behaviours due to growing up in a shelter environment. With patience, consistency, and plenty of love, he will continue to blossom into an even more confident and settled companion. He has also been working on learning how to remain calm around cats and continues to make positive progress.
Max would be suitable to live with another dog and would thrive in a home with committed, caring owners who are ready to open their hearts to him. Due to his size, we recommend a home with older children.
