About Duke ❤️ 🧡
I’m still a very young dog and have not yet experienced the big world yet nor have I ever known what it’s like to actually be part of a family, I have not lived indoors before although due to my clingy nature and desire to be with you all the time I would need indoor/outdoor access in my new home, due to my size currently I will make a super sweet lounge lizard and probably take up most of the room! Further training is also an essential commitment you’d need to make, as I have lots to learn and a big wide world to be exposed to. Once I’m settled and more confident, ongoing obedience training would be a great thing for you to take me to so I can be the best-behaved boy ever!💙🏡
My breed is known for being gentle, affectionate and relaxed with a moderate energy level – so we’re great for many types of homes, Holstein will be new to me and they will need to respect that I will be reserved at first and my new family will need to take my introductions slowly. Ongoing socialization and exposure is crucial for my personality to grow and I am not a puppy that will cope being left in a backyard for majority of the day.
I would benefit extremely from a well behaved female dog mate that can teach me how to live like a proper dog and learn to enjoy all the beautiful activities we can do with my new family in and outside the home!👀👨👩👧👧
I am still hesitant on other male dogs, I have had little interaction with the other male dogs since being at the pound and I would prefer to be an only dog and wouldn’t be too mad at all to have all of your attention to myself! I have been tested with cats and they don’t faze me at all, I will stare and become curious but have not shown any aggression but like always we suggest strongly on slow introductions and duke knows he can be the best companion to them. 🐶😽

The fist point of contact is to call the animal rehoming officer on 0439357051. We simply ask normal questions about your home life and what sort of lifestyle you can provide for the pet. Once you have had this conversation we usually will book in a meet and greet at the facility.
If the meet greet goes well the rehoming officer will book the animal in at the local vet clinic for their vetwork to be complete. The rehoming officer will then drop the animal off at the clinic that morning and you will be contacted by the vet staff when the animal is ready for collection later that afternoon.
Prior to collecting your animal from the vet you must text through your full name, email, residential address and contact number to the animal rehoming officer.
Your information is then passed onto council staff at the front office and you must complete the microchipping paperwork and also pay the animals adoption fee prior to collecting the animal from the vet. You will complete this paperwork and pay the fee not at the pound but at the Griffith city council office at 1 Benerembah St, Griffith NSW.
