About Mabel
Mabel is a playful, fun-chasing border collie who loves her people, adventures, runs, and fetch.
Mabel is incredibly loving and adoring, if you show her some attention and give her pats, you will have made a new best friend. She will be your shadow. She is interested in everything and anything that you like; being out in the garden in particular. She may bark and zoom as you tend your garden, water or weed out of sheer happiness.
Mabel does take on the responsibility of guarding the house, although she wouldn’t attack the
postman, she will make him think twice about delivering your parcel when she is home. If your alarm system is broken, Mabel will replace it happily. She is incredibly smart and quick to learn. She knows a number of tricks – sit-pretty, speak, spin, stretch, drop just to name a few. She also loves a quick game of hide her toy and go seek. She will do anything for you to play with her toys, all 16 of them at last count. She also knows each toy by name.
She dislikes loud noises, is sceptical of children and tries to round them up and is very regrettably being rehomed by her family. She has been well cared for and socialised under the watch of experts.
Mabel has a few dog friends, but she’d much rather chase a stick or a ball.
We feel that Mabel needs to be with an individual or couple with “room to zoom” as Mabel loves to sniff and explore. She would love someone who has the time to play with her or take her out for long walks and give her loving attention.
Mabel is a special dog who seeks her human soulmate. They will have no kids or cats, if they have a dog already it will be a desexed male and they will have an adventurous spirit and like long walks on the beach!
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs
Medical notes
Mabel is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
She is in perfect health.
