Hayley

Hayley has adapted to life in a home very quickly and is house trained (aside from two accidents on day one) and whines at the door to go out.

She is happy to sleep on her bed or the sofa downstairs with her foster sibling, a female greyhound.

Hayley is young and still has lots of endearing puppy traits. She plays happily with her foster brother, a Jack Russell and loves tug of war with him over various toys.

She hoons about the house, all legs and snoot and loves to be where people are, sticking her nose into open cupboards and doors and generally being under your feet.

Hayley is super affectionate and loves cuddles and curling up on the sofa next to you.

We haven’t noticed any separation anxiety and she can be left home alone with her foster siblings without any issues. She hasn’t been tested being alone without the other dogs.

We have not noticed any sleep startle or resource guarding and she is comfortable being handled, has shown no aggression and is happy to greet other dogs on walks.

Hayley was nervous on lead initially, but is now happy to walk alone, or with her foster siblings. She is not keen on busy roads or noisy areas though.

Hayley is very comfortable with familiar men, women and teenagers but has not been tested with very young children. She has greeted unfamiliar people with curiosity.

She is very comfortable with her foster sister the greyhound and walks closely with her on walks. Hayley plays well (although quite roughly) with her Jack Russell foster brother but he’s made of solid stuff. She could be a bit much for another small dog though and would be best placed in a family with a medium or large dog.

Hayley has not been tested with cats or pocket pets, but her reaction to possums on walks makes us think that she would be an unlikely fit.
