About Fox
Fox is looking for her new forever home through no fault of her own.
This is an assisted rehoming for one of our clients, and there will be no fee for her adoption. We are just looking for the right person/family for her.
Unfortunately her owner is now in a nursing home, and relatives are unable to take her in. She currently lives in her owners apartment alone, and family members are feeding her and looking after her daily.
We would love to find her a home that will give her consistency, love and affection, and a person/family that will make her feel like she is apart of their lives and everyday routine.
This is what the family member has to say about beautiful Fox "When I come to feed her she is very affectionate and will always run over to get a pat and a scratch. She likes a good back scratch and loves to be petted and enjoys being brushed and will roll on her back when in the mood. She likes to scratch her claws on her favourite door mat. She likes to play and will run and hide and then rush out to catch hair scrunchies that may be tossed for her to jump out and grab. She is interested in the birds that sometimes come to the balcony but I think is also a bit scared of them. For some reason she also is very fond of my hiking shoes and likes to grab them and rub her head on them."
Fox is FIV positive, however If you are interested in her- there are options to be considered:
- She can be the only cat in the household
- She can go with another FIV positive cat or kitten
Please don't let FIV deter you from adopting Fox. FIV positive cats make wonderful pets and can still live long and happy lives.
Fox also had a recent dental surgery with us, and is now a healthy beautiful lady. She has great energy and loves to chase and catch hair scrunchies that are thrown her way!
Fox is also looking for a foster carer who would be able to look after her until she finds her forever home. We think she needs consistency, reassurance and love given her change in circumstances, so if you are interested in fostering or adopting Fox please reach out to us.

Adoption details
Please direct messages to Catherine. Please provide as much details about your home and family as possible. We are a very busy vet hospital, so we prefer no phone calls :) Thank you.
IMPORTANT: All cats and kittens adopted out from Drummoyne Veterinary Hospital MUST go to either an indoor-only home, or a home with a suitable cat-proof outdoor area or enclosure. Our mission is to make Sydney a better place for cats, their families and our precious wildlife. That means responsible re-homing. We want our cats and kittens to go to the safest, most loving of homes. We don't want them exposed to risks such as getting hit by a car, dog attacks, cruelty from people, injury or death from cat fights or dog attacks, or contracting infectious disease. We want them to live a long, happy and healthy life with their families; safe from harm :)
Please note we do not hold kittens - it's a first in, first served basis once we have reviewed your application and invited you to meet the kitten.
