Kingston - 8 Week Old Border Collie X (Trial 10/6)

Kingston has a gentle nature but is full of energy, a fast-learner and very affectionate. He enjoys playing with toys in the backyard and loves to cuddle up before going to bed for the night.

Kingston has started house training and is learning basic commands. He sleeps in his crate throughout the whole night, and waits patiently in the morning for his human to take him outside to go to the toilet.

Kingston currently lives with his brother Monte Carlo, who is also available for adoption. He is very excited by other adult visitors but has not been tested around other dogs, cats or children. Kingston would not suit a family with children under 10 as puppies nip and scratch as they are learning.

Kingston is a fast learner but like all puppies, he needs a family who will commit to consistent training, regular exercise, socialisation, mental stimulation and opportunities for games, walks, and lots of play.

Kingston is going to be a medium to large dog with loads of energy and love to give. He will need someone in his life who is prepared to have a large dog and all that goes with it.

Kingston would benefit from having a patient dog around that is used to puppies that he could learn from. He could however happily adjust to being an only dog is his humans were around more often than not and showered him with attention.

Kingston’s adoption fee is $700 which includes his desexing when he is old enough and his second vaccination. He has already had his first vaccination and is flea, tick and worm treated.

Kingston is in foster care in Thornton, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.

Kingston’s overview:
- Needs an active family committed to ongoing puppy training, socialisation, exercise, play and lots of walks.
- Needs a family committed to continue toilet training.
- Needs to be an inside/outside dog with a bed inside at night.
- Full fenced yard with high fences.
- He will need to be returned to a DRN-approved vet for desexing when he is 6 months old.
