About Gillie 35154
-Prefer no other dogs
-Open to meet children
-First time owner
-Approx. 18kgs
Gillie is a very sweet dog that is affectionate and will not say no to ongoing pats and cuddles.
To show off how smart she is Gillie walks nicely on lead and can also sit on command. With further command training we are sure she will learn more.
Her ideal home would be calm and quiet with medium to high secure fencing. Due to being the ultimately sweetie pie Gillie would be fine with a first time dog owner.
As she prefers to play with people rather than other dogs we feel that Gillie would be best suited in a home where she is the star of the show. It’s not that she doesn’t like other dogs, more so that she is selective of who she chooses to hang out with, however ongoing socialisation training may curb her disinterest of friends of the four legged variety.
She is a fairly independent and agreeable girl but can be a little unsure of new surroundings, in which case she can start to get a little shy. Positive reinforcement and slow introductions to new environments will help her build her confidence.
Gillie would suit a part-time worker who can continue to build her confidence and continue her training at home. Due to her sweet nature she is open to meet children of any age. Gillie is food motivated and takes treats very gently.
Adoption details
Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
