About Jarrah
Jarrah is a gentle girl who weighs about 10 kg and is about one year old.
She gets along well with people. Sometimes when you walk past Jarrah, she will flop on her back and offer you her tummy. If you manage to reach out quickly enough to rub behind her ear, she will stay up and lean in. She likes getting picked up and held, but you'll have to do it quickly so she doesn't have time to flop on her back.
She is toilet-trained and stares out the screen door when she needs to go out. She has not had a mess indoors.
Jarrah is in foster care with a family with two kids, the younger being 4 years old. The kids have piled pillows around her and tucked her in with a blanket and Jarrah just lets it happen. They are able to hold her lead while walking as she does not pull. However Jarrah doesn't seem very used to a collar and lead yet.
When meeting another dog, Jarrah growled a little at first, but after the leads were taken off they got along well and even played with each other. She has gone camping with her foster family and she stayed close to them and came when called.
She is mildly interested in fetch. She will chase a tennis ball and sometimes brings it back if there is nothing else to distract her. She will play a little bit of tug. Sometimes she will run and grab the kids' teddy, but she does bring it back and drop it when you ask for it.
She doesn't dig in the yard, and she will sometimes barks at night. If the neighbor's dog barks she does answer back. She will notice when someone comes to the door or pulls up the driveway, but she doesn't bark.
No sign of food aggression has been noted. The four year old is able to feed Jarrah without getting jumped.
