Handsome Barney!
- Barney is a little timid around new things.
- He has a beautiful soul and big gorgeous eyes.
- When you pat him he purrs non stop.
- He loves cats and would suit being a 2nd cat in a home if you're looking for a companion for your existing cat.
- He love's playing with toys and is very energetic.
- Barney has been in foster care with cats and large dogs who he is fine with. He is untested with children but should be fine with gentle kids.
If you would like to meet Barney, please complete the application form at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=zm1493&method=online_form_html&formid=9
NOTE: Barney has received his 2 kitten vaccinations. Conditions of his adoption are that he is sterilised and microchipped at the age of 6 months on or as close to 24/8/23 as possible. These procedures are covered in the adoption fee and must be done at an approved vet clinic in either Busselton, Vasse or Bunbury. Reminders will be sent.
Our adoption process includes a two week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit.
The adoption fee of $300.00 includes desexing, 2 vaccinations, microchip (including transfer of ownership), flea and worm treatment and vet check.
SAFE Busselton requests that all persons adopting a cat adhere to responsible containment practices. As per the current Cat Laws in WA we encourage people to keep their rescued cat as a permanent indoor cat or with access to a safe cat run. It is no longer desirable to allow your cat to wander onto adjoining properties. Confident cats can also be trained to walk on a harness and lead. We ask that owners be responsible and keep their adopted cat safe at all times so that you will have a long and loving life together. Information on cat enclosures can be found here: https://safe.org.au/catios
SAFE Busselton reserves the right to select adoptive homes based on ""best fit"" for the pet. Although all applications will be considered, being the first application will not necessarily provide an advantage as the adoption committee considers many factors when matching animals to their new home.
