About Betty
Little Miss Betty the French Bulldog x Pug is finally ready to find a home that can meet her needs. Betty is your typical Frenchie full of life and attitude and not for the faint hearted!
Betty's date of birth is 7 August 2020. She is in good health and her ears and teeth are clean. Betty will need some maintenance to ensure she does not get chronic ear issues into the future.
Betty is a bundle of fun, love, attitude and has high shedding of hair. Betty is currently prescribed anti-anxiety medication Fluoxetine (Zactin) which she was on when she came into our care. We have maintained her on this medication but expect she could be weaned off this medication under vet supervision once she is settled into her new home and well established.
Betty needs to be in a home as an only pet. She has previously lived with other dogs, but there were regular disagreements and fights.
Betty has been in a foster placement as an only pet and she is loving life. Betty happily sleeps in a crate at night and during the day hangs out with her foster dad.
Betty loves her daily walks, but can be reactive towards other dogs. Some she is not phased by others she trash talks (barks at them).
So with Betty we are looking for a home that meets the following criteria:
✅️ Only Pet - all the focus on Betty.
✅️ Someone home a fair bit. Betty loves company and hanging out with her humans.
✅️ Someone that will maintain her medication regime. 1 tablet daily in the morning and will give her ears the occassional clean.
✅️ Someone that can establish and maintain boundaries with Betty. The saying give her an inch and she will take a mile is very true of this girl.
✅️ Betty can be reactive towards other dogs, so needs someone that is confident and can continue to guide her in appropriate behaviour.
If your looking for a full of life companion that will be devoted to you, then Betty may be the girl for you.
Betty's adoption fee is $950 and she goes to her new home flea and worm treated, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, had a dental clean and ear clean and had her nostril's widened. Betty's breathing is good for this breed.

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
