About Simon
Simon is a lovable and cheeky little thing. His playful personality is infectious, whether it's the amusing positions he contorts himself into while snoozing or the creative games he invents. He’s always on the lookout for a warm lap and will expertly drape himself around your chest to maximise the cosy factor. He's even been known to cuddle up with his canine friends, who are willing to share their personal space.
When it comes to describing Simon's personality, he can be described as a couch potato who knows how to have fun. Simon has a few favourite things that truly make his day. First and foremost, food is a top priority for him. He appreciates a good meal and eagerly devours whatever is served. Additionally, Simon loves soaking up the warm sun and lounging in its golden rays. And of course, laps are a treasured spot for him, providing both comfort and companionship.
As for Simon's quirks, he has a peculiar fondness for pawing and sucking on a fleece blanket. It seems to bring him a sense of comfort and security. When receiving a satisfying scratch under the chin, he enjoys it so much that he occasionally starts to drool—a sign of pure feline bliss.
In terms of Simon's daily routine, he has been an indoor-only cat with access to an outdoor run. Mornings often begin with his charming meow for food, and once satisfied, he settles down to groom himself while keeping a watchful eye on your activities. Throughout the day, he enjoys his beauty sleep, but if you take a seat for a while, he'll swiftly make himself comfortable on your lap, especially if the weather is chilly. While you're away at work, Simon happily observes the world from his cat run or a window. Playing with toys, particularly interactive ones like a toy on a string, brings out Simon’s playful side. You may even catch him inventing his own games by maneuvering toys around table legs for an added challenge. If you prefer him to sleep outside the bedroom, he will happily oblige, but he’d also love the opportunity to snooze on your bed.
Simon's ideal match would be in a calm household, and he can happily coexist with older children. In an indoor-only environment with or without an outdoor run, Simon is adaptable and would be suited to live in an apartment.
Finally, it's important to note that when Simon had enough attention, he'll kindly let you know, and it's best to respect his boundaries. Sadly and with a heavy heart, Simon’s owner is looking to rehome him because of a change of personal circumstances.
Simon’s friend Henry is also looking for a new home, and they can be rehomed separately or together. You can find Henry’s listing here → www.petrescue.com.au/listings/977149
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
