ABOUT ROSIE

Rosie is a gorgeous blue brindle girl.
Her racing name was Saint Bluey. Rosie is just under 30kg and in very good health. Her manners are excellent around people and other dogs but we have to say right up front, she definitely can't live with a cat. She is currently living at home base which is basically a cat sanctuary and it's very unfair on her. She can see all the cats and they, bless their cotton sox, know she can see but can't touch and are rather enjoying tormenting her. Poor Rosie is fairly constantly frustrated but she is getting used to the idea that she can't have them. In time she may become cat tolerant, but that would take a lot of patience, diligence and knowledge. In all other respects she is totally trustworthy. She shares her resources with no aggression at all, even bones, and she plays well with all our rescue dogs. Even if one of them growls at her, she shows no reaction other than respect. We would love to see Rosie in a cat free family home with another playful doggy friend and not left alone all day. She walks well on the lead but we wouldn't recommend off lead as she is too easily distracted and doesn't' respond to calls when focussed on somehting she thinks she can chase. Let's say she knows her name and her recall is excellent IF she knows she'll get a treat.
