About Clover
Introducing Clover, a delightful 7-month-old deaf Pointer X pup with a heartwarming story. After a car accident, Clover's previous owner neglected their responsibilities, leaving her in need of surgery for a broken leg. Thanks to the caring vet team who reached out to us for help finding this sweet girl a home, Clover has made an incredible recovery and is now ready to find her forever home.
Clover is currently in the midst of her basic training journey and making great progress. She already knows commands like sit and down, and she's working hard on learning her stay. With a little patience and continued training, she's sure to become a well-behaved companion.
This sweet girl thrives on human companionship and loves spending time with people. She would be happiest in a family with older kids or teenagers, as she enjoys cuddling up and snuggling with her loved ones. While we're unsure about her compatibility with cats but she currently lives with a couple of reptiles and has no issues, so with proper introductions and some dedicated effort, she could potentially learn to coexist peacefully with them.
Clover is currently living with two other dogs and is slowly learning proper doggie etiquette. She's still figuring out her boundaries and may need some guidance in understanding when playtime is enough. Her playful and energetic nature is blossoming, and she's eager to continue learning how to socialise with other dogs.
Due to her extended confinement during her recovery, Clover is full of beans and ready to make up for lost time. She requires mental and physical stimulation, so her new family should be prepared to provide her with plenty of activities and exercise. It's important to note that Clover missed out on socialisation during her recovery period, so she may find new experiences and the outside world a bit intimidating. Patiently introducing her to new things and reassuring her safety will be crucial.
Clover is not a fan of her crate, and it's completely understandable considering her past experiences. However, she's willing to go in as long as the door is left open. She's also in the process of learning how to walk on a leash and can get quite excited when she sees it. Her foster carers are working on helping her remain calm at walk times.
With her affectionate and loving nature, Clover is a total snuggle bug. She adores being close to her human companions and wants to know where you are at all times. It would be ideal for her to be in a family where someone is home frequently or has the flexibility to take her along on outings.
Clover is highly food motivated, which can be used to your advantage during training. By utilising treats and positive reinforcement, you can help her learn and grow. She has a sweet yet mischievous side, making her irresistibly endearing. Get ready for some delightful adventures and a lifetime of love with this charming girl.
She is not a big girl weight in at around 16kgs so considering her size and behaviour, Clover would be a suitable companion for apartment living. She's not excessively barky and only vocalises when she needs to go outside or when she's expressing herself playfully.
If you're ready to provide a loving home to a special pup who deserves a second chance, Clover is waiting to steal your heart.
