Isla - 9 Week Old Staffy X (Trial)

Meet Isla, a 9 week old, female, Staffordshire cross breed puppy. She is a happy go lucky pup, with a soft and sweet nature. She is fun loving, adventurous and smart.

Isla is a very healthy little puppy who has been fostered into a loving home environment. She has been very well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. She has met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them. She has been consolidating her toilet training and has managed to sleep soundly at night, needing one toilet break.

Isla will grow up to be a medium sized dog, although we are unsure of her exact breeding. She will require puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. And will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training. Isla has been taught the basics such as sit, wait and how to walk at heel. She is impatient for her meals and is learning good manners when she is eating. Isla loves the car and is well behaved in her harness. She so far has not been car sick or anxious. She would love family trips and holidays.

It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Isla. If you don't have another dog to keep her company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.

Isla needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside as she has been very well behaved and sleeping in her foster carers bedroom in her own fluffy bed at night. She will be a wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 5 years and older. You need to have good fencing with no small gaps as Isla is curious and fits through tiny gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).

Isla’s adoption fee is $700 which includes her desexing when she is old enough. It also includes her first two vaccinations. She has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.

Isla is in foster care in Belmont, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when she's 5 to 6 months old.
