About Brooklyn
Lovely Twiggy has been through a lot in her young life. She was mother to 8 puppies & also had to recover from Ringworm. She is now back to full health & ready to find her new family.
She is a sweet-natured girl who can be a little shy & wary initially, but with lots of tasty treats & gentle reassurance, she soon starts to build trust. She hasn't seen much of the outside world & can, at times, feel overwhelmed. It is important that when a dog is experiencing emotions like this that we let them go at their own pace. We need to try & make new environments, people & situations as positive as possible so that our dogs can create a good association with them.
Once you make friends with Twiggy, she is a real hoot! She is fun, playful, energetic, affectionate & a bit of a goofball! She needs regular daily exercise as well as mental enrichment.
Twiggy has spent most of her life outside, but she would really love to become a proper member of a family & be invited indoors, especially with the cold winter nights closing in. She keeps a very clean kennel at the shelter & is not noisy or destructive.
Twiggy may be able to co-habit with another canine companion & has lived with other dogs in the past. A sociable male would be best & a Meet & Greet prior to adoption would be needed.
Secure fencing, a high quality diet & lots of love is what Twiggy needs to keep her happy, healthy & safe.
