Odin

Charming, cheeky and full of character is the best way to describe Odin.

He came to Happy Tails after being found roaming the streets in Rockhampton and ended up at the pound on death row.

Odin came into care and was happy and excited to meet anyone and everything. And shows he adapts well to change. His temperament is easy going, and playful. He’s been responding well to basic training around manners, he has easily picked up sit and stay (though not for too long), can wait for his dinner with ease and is toilet trained – just ensure to leave his access to outside or let him out first thing, he can’t hang on for long.

Everything is still an adventure so he’s always over excited for his walk – so will need some time invested. Get excited when first in the car but quickly settles down. And can often when in the mist of play or you his buddy arrives home from school still gets the zoomies. He loves water play and is even taken a liking to soccer.

When it comes to cuddles he forgets his size so if you’re on the couch with him, he is right up against you, or squirming around looking for tummy tickles, or at the ready to give you a lovely kiss.

As Odin is still a young puppy just hitting his teenage phase he does have some typical teen behaviours. He loves to chew, so he needs lots of toys and games so he can play with to keep him occupied. Odin is loving having lots of enrichment toys to play with everyday.

This special boy needs an equally special family, that loves him for his cheeky character and will continue his training with obedience school and give him a life time of love. He’s not food driven but is definitely eager to please so he should be easily trained. He might be a bit too much for smaller children but has been great with the tween in the foster home and we could see him being a real best buddy ready for any and all adventure with his forever family.
