About Narla
Let us introduce you to this beautiful girl named NARLA. She has the most gorgeous gentlest eyes that look into your deepest heart and soul . Very loving girl.
BullMastiff x Staffy . 3yo. 29kg.
Medium Activity.
High Trainability.
Background
NARLA was a welfare case where the ranger from the pound had to stepped in due to severe neglect . Narla was used for breeding a lot of litters. But her health was neglected to the point she was skin and bones.
When she came into our care she was a very scared emaciated and shy dog but she was still so trusting in letting us help her. We had to put her on a very strict diet to not over feed her too quickly due to her poor condition . Overfeeding her too quick would have been fatal for her.
Since being in our care for 3 mths now She has regained her health and a very happy sweet loving cuddly girl.
Currently being fostered with 2 ragdoll cats and the cats llloooveeeee her.
In the last 3 mths Narla also made friends with other similar size mature confident friendly dogs . *Narla prefers slow intro with any new dogs*
Her fav play is tug of war . She walks well on leash with her gentle leader.
Narla is not a barker. She doesnt bark at home unless there is a stranger outside the door .
She'll sometimes bark at other dogs during her walk mainly dogs that are barking at her first but easily moved on with positive reinforcement using treats.
She also loves car rides . Driving around with you running errands is one of her fav activity apart from snuggling with her humans of course.
Narla enjoys calm environment and calm dog friends. This girl is so easy and low maintenance at home.
She doesn't have separation anxiety.
A very loyal loving companion.
Mainly INDOOR with access to a secure outdoor area for toileting *she learned to use the dog door* she sleeps inside, either in her crate or on the couch . And if invited she'll be happy to snuggle next to you on the bed.
She knows stay and sit commands.
She has never been allowed off leash in public places as she still learning about a lot of things in our human world.
Coming from a background where she was used for breeding and starved NARLA has a bit of food obsession which will get better with time but for now any human & dog food items should be kept away from her reach.
NARLA had never seen the outside world until she came into our care 3 months ago. We introduce her to a lot of things very slowly and she has been amazing . From learning to be on leash and to walk nicely on leash . To not get overwhelmed on a busy area etc. She has taken everything in her stride and always eager to learn more.
She currently get 2 walks 30 mins each daily with some adventures/car rides/ beach walk during the weekend . She is very chill inside the house. She loves her soft toys she'll sometimes take them to bed with her. She plays with Kong and other enrichment toys but also if she has a dog friend she'd be playing tug of war with them for sure !
It's not all go go go with her - NARLA knows how to switch off too. And she'll chill with you for hoursssss snuggling.
Especially if she knows you are not feeling well - this girl is such a caring soul. She'll look after you .
This girl has an amazing capacity to trust and love even after what she has gone through. Now it's time for her to continue her journey- she is looking for a lucky family to call her own. A family with experience having dogs her size her breed. More importantly a family with time, love and patience so NARLA can continue to learn and explore the world safely.
Yes she is cat friendly as long as your cat also dog friendly.
Yes she is dog friendly as long as the other dog is also friendly calm and well mannered. She doesn't like it if the other dog barks lunge too excited or try to hump her etc. We don't blame her .
Yes she has been introduce to kids age 10yo and above she is fine with them and Gentle. Provided the kids are also dog savy
Her Diet is mixed diet. She gets premium dry food, Prime100 rolls or fresh raw mince with some boiled veggies (carrots broccoli sweet potatoes pumpkin)
