About Elvis - Located in Templestowe
Elvis is an adorable smooch ball, packed full of personality. He loves to love and be loved, so be prepared for lots of attention and loving!
He is very curious, and likes to help out around the house. By which we mean he will follow you around, sit on your feet or sit on your bathroom sink. Just watch where you step as he can suddenly appear out of nowhere! He also thinks you might need his help in the dishwasher and finishing your meals.
If you are chilling on the couch he will quickly join you to purr loudly on your lap, or tucked against your neck. Cuddles are very appreciated! He also expects to share your bed at night, but is happy to join anyone including toddlers or children.
While he would love to explore the outdoor world it is very important that Elvis is kept indoor only or confined to a cat yard. He has no sense of safety and has already been hit by a car once in his life!
Elvis loves kids and other cats and would be quite happy joining a household with either. He is very easy going and has been raised in a house with a toddler. He is very tolerant, don't mind being picked up or rough patted, and loves joining in kids games. He thinks their toys are pretty awesome too.
Medical notes
Elvis was hit by a car at 6 weeks of age.
He suffered from a fractured pelvis and a dislocated hip. Because of his age surgery was not required, just pain relief and cage rest for a period of time.
His most recent X-rays show his pelvis has completely healed and the luxation of his hip has resolved as he has grown.
He can run and climb normally, but will sometimes chose to climb rather than jump.
Elvis will develop arthritis in his hips in the future, an unfortunate repercussion of his run in with a car. We recommend 6 monthly vet checks to monitor its progress and start treatment when it begins to causing him discomfort. But this could still be many years in the future. {Please note all cats will develop arthritis at some stage in their lives just like humans, and it is very manageable }
