Khaleesi

This lovely girl was reluctantly surrendered to SAFE by her unfortunate owner-- hit doubly hard by the housing crisis (losing her rental) and financial hardship.  But despite recent hard times, Khaleesi has an incredibly beautiful temperament. She's not good with cats or other small animals, but LOVES all humans and dogs.  She came to us with very little training, (no leash skills and no doggy etiquette) but there isn't a mean bone in her body.

This big Doofus is not the sharpest tool in the shed, but her easy-going temperament and striking looks more than make up for that. It seems God ran out of white doggy tails on the day she was made, so he attached a big black kangaroo tail instead.  It's just the right height and strength to clear a coffee table, so be careful when she starts to wag :)  Things knocked off tables however is the limit of her destructiveness--she is toilet trained, and has learned how to use our dog door. She's not jumpy or bouncy, and hasn't chewed anything except goat horns, bones or other dog treats. She dug a few holes but we think it was because she's been so bored recovering from her desex. She's just beginning to learn how to play with toys, and can be clumsy/unaware of her size/momentum.

If she can see you she wants to be as close to you as possible, and because she has NO concept of her true size (36+kg) that means she's ON your lap asa you settle on the lounge, but she IS a lovely cuddler.  She may whine a bit when you leave the house, but settles quickly. And while she may look intimidating, Khaleesi would be hopeless as a watchdog--she doesn't bark for the doorbell or visitors, and can be timid with larger men. With some training we could see her as a therapy dog--just a big pillow who'd like to decorate your lounge.
