Meet Ponyo and Gus

At first glance this duo seem an odd match, but once you see them together it makes perfect sense. They are best friends! Surrendered to the shelter as their family were moving away, Ponyo and Gus are hoping they can find a new forever home together (preferably without any canines this time).

Gus is an old hand at shelter life, this is his second visit with us and as much as we love him we hope it is his last. As an older boy now Gus is slowing down a little and would prefer a home where he is safe and warm inside. Ponyo is on her first visit but luckily Gus is here to help her through the process. She is a biiig girl compared to her friend, weighing in at 4.7kg compared to his 2.3kg but no judgements here! It is the sweetest thing to see them cuddled up together grooming or her jumping to the front to protect him.
