About Embi
Embi is a shy and reserved cat who takes time to warm up to new people. Once she trusts you, she is a sweet and affectionate companion who loves to play. Embi is a bit of a homebody and prefers a calm and quiet environment. This foodie makes the cutest meow to let you know she is ready for meals. Cat food and treats are the keys to her heart.
Embi was brought to Compass Animal Rescue with her four kittens. This strong mama did a good job protecting her kittens but is still learning humans are not scary. With time and patience from her foster mum, she started to come out of her shell. She is not a lap cat (but might be one day!) but will rub against your legs on her own terms.
Embi would thrive in a quiet home with a patient and understanding owner who will give her the time and space she needs to adjust. This gorgeous Torbie will need you to respect her boundaries. She would do well as the only pet in the household or with another calm and friendly FIV+ feline companion. Embi would prefer a home without young children. A cat tree is recommended as she loves to scratch and sleep on one.
Medical notes
Embi is desexed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. She has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), however, it's not as scary as it sounds. Cats with FIV often have similar lifespans to cats without it when well taken care of and Embi has been thriving since being in a home environment and a good quality diet. Being FIV positive, Embi needs to be an indoor only cat.
