Jake

Hi! I'm Jake, Jake is a playful and charming boy who loves his daily beach walk. He is good on lead and will not wander far from handler. Though he has been fantastic with his foster carer's young children, he will need some training purely due to his young age so he can be the best family dog. Jake goes well with his foster family's cat. We have taught him sit, lay and shake. He does all of them very well and is very receptive to training. When meeting other dogs, after the initial cautious meeting he is happy to play. He may be better as the only dog in the household.

Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I'd like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I've learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I'll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least once a day (and twice for working dog breeds) is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me ""no"" if I'm chewing something I shouldn't and give me a chew toy instead. I'd love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don't get bored with them.
