Apollo - 1 Year Old Border Collie X (Trial 17/6/23

Apollo is a striking ~1yo year old border collie X who is searching for a loving and patient forever home. He is a real sweetheart has endless affection to offer.

Apollo is extremely sweet, friendly and playful with people. He takes a little longer to warm up to dog friends and is initially wary of them. However, after only 2 days in care, Apollo can be seen playing excitedly with his foster dog sibling and cohabiting the space peacefully.

Apollo is house trained, travels well in the car and knows how to sit, shake and play fetch. He sleeps nearby you if allowed, but also happy to sleep in a separate room. He wants to be close to you and snuggle up as much as possible. Apollo thinks he’s a lap dog and will want to join you on the couch to watch TV.

Apollo is untested with cats. He would be suited to be an only dog, but a home with another dog could be considered if the dog has a calm, gentle and friendly nature. He would prefer a home with someone working part time or working from home as he prefers not to be left along for long periods. Apollo would suit an active single or couple who are committed to his ongoing training. As Apollo is still learning not to jump up when excited, families with older children will be ideal.

Apollo’s adoption fee is $500 and he is in care in the Lake Macquarie area. The adoption fee covers desexing, microchipping, vaccinations and flea/worming treatments.
