NOTE: You are unable to meet Skye until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Skye in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• I have never been allowed inside before however I am hoping that my new family will allow me inside to make me feel included & part of the family.
• A doggie playmate who is gentle and calm may be okay as boisterous dogs scare me, I will require lots of socialisation with positive experiences with other dogs.
• A cat who is dog savvy may be ok with a slow introduction
• I was escaping wire mesh fencing in my previous home so will require colorbond/pailing fence in my new home.
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• Lots of love and attention
• Being an active breed I have a lot of energy so an active family is a must!
• Going to a home with another dog will be beneficial for me as I have never been on my own before (I was surrendered with my brother Marshall) and I can stress when left alone. Alternatively someone who is home a lot or can take me to work/with them most of the time would be ideal.

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• My previous owner said that I liked to chase chickens, so recommend no free range fowl or pocket pets in my new home


My best features:
• Super sweet & affectionate
• Very, very people orientated, I want to be with you, on your lap and in your skin
• I can sit on command
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk very well on the lead, only pull lightly if anything
• Social butterfly
• I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• My previous owner said that I LOVED kids

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be a bit bouncy when excited - further training and positive reinforcement should help this
• As I have not been allowed inside before I am not housetrained yet
